Brits’ stag do habits revealed
- 22nd November 2011
New research has shown just what people are searching for when they look online for their stag celebrations. A study printed on responsesource.com claimed that in early 2009, there was an equal number of searches for ‘stag weekend‘ as there were for ‘stag nights’. Since then, however, ‘stag nights’ has fared decidedly better; retaining its status as a more highly searched phrase on Google whilst the others fell by the wayside. The news could not only shed light onto what people are searching for online but also what kinds of celebrations they want for their stag dos. With many Brits shunning foreign holidays in recent years – opting instead to holiday in the UK – the trend could also be showing itself when it comes to stag celebrations as well. Speaking of the choice to stay local as opposed to fly abroad, responsesource.com suggested: “Most choose stag nights for their obvious cost benefits, with most taking place during one evening in a nearby city.
“For those wanting the traditional stag weekend, there’s no need to compromise. There are many good organisers of stag weekends out there ready to help you manage your trip.” For those looking to venture a little further afield however, travel journalist Blake Sanders outlined five of the more lavish stag do destinations; taking in New York, Berlin, Munich, Zagreb and Copenhagen.”This isn’t a mere party with a cake and pointy hats,” he told travelbite.co.uk. “For this is a party of unforgettable proportions. Try any one of these cities for the bacchanal of your collective dreams.”
