Nottingham tops best stag do list
- 22nd November 2011
Nottingham has been crowned the best location for a stag do, according to research. The city was considered the ultimate destination from a compilation of stag party reviews, which has established the UK’s top five places. Nottingham was considered great value for money and ideally situated. Its “tremendous” nightlife and wide range of activities were also recognised as huge draws, according to City Journalist Directory. Also revealed was the second-best destination for a stag weekend: Bristol. The variety, cost, location and convenience of the South-Western city’s accommodation was highly recommended. The “plethora” of stag-oriented clubs and bars on offer was too.
Next on the list was Bournemouth, which was flagged for its lively seafront, “unusual” activities and fantastic nightlife. Surprisingly, Bournemouth was the only seaside resort to appear in the top five; neither Blackpool nor Brighton (established stag party favourites) were good enough. Reading took fourth place and North Wales came fifth. The former was praised for its quality hotels; Wales for the huge range of outdoor, manly pursuits on offer. Meanwhile, Travel Stuff highlighted the importance of a good send-off; suggesting nothing but a stag do in a top European destination will do. Claiming that “the last few days of bachelorhood should be a memorable time of epic proportions,” the website believes that an overseas trip will be unforgettable, “full of excitement and surprise.”
