1. Know the group: This may sound obvious, but when you start you will have a list of people to invite, but where do they live? Do they have children? When you get an accurate picture of what people can and can't do, it will help you choose the right hen weekend.
2. How to set a date and a budget: You need to do this fairly early and you need to consult with the group at this stage. Try and find out what dates are acceptable to everyone and set it as early as possible. Be realistic about budgets as well and think about ways where different budgets can still be incorporated. Be prepared to compromise with what the majority can do.
3. How to choose the weekend: This is where you need to keep it to only 2 or 3 key decision-makers, maybe even less. At Crocodile Events, we allow you to reserve for your best guess of numbers on a minimal deposit to give you the best opportunity to get there before everybody else. All we then request is that you confirm your numbers and pay the balance 30 days before you are due to arrive.
6. Coordinating payments: Give everybody a deadline to work towards and stick to it. You may get a few people who cannot confirm in time, but don't take the risk for them. There can be cancellation fees with hotels and activity centres and why should you be punished, when you've done the hard work?
7. How to have a good time: If all the hard work is done during the preparation, the last thing you need to do is to continue stressing on the weekend. Lead by example and have a fantastic time!
