Cork
Cork is visited by many every year in search of the “craic”. Although Irelands second largest city Cork has a verty relaxed atmosphere.
Famous for the Blarney Stone which is a block of bluestone built in the battlements of Blarney Castle. Legend has it that kissing the Blarney Stone with bless the kisser of the stone with the “gift of the gab”. A gift never to be underestimated if you are trying to chat up the locals on your stag or hen do. It may be located 5 miles out of Cork but could be a journey well worth making!!
At Crocodile events we offer a great range of daytime stag and hen activities in Cork The stag parties are often seeing going for a spot of kayaking or having a tipple or two on the Jameson’s Tasting Tour (when in Rome and all that!!).
The hen parties seem to be pretty keen on the art jam getaway for some reason. They claim it has nothing to with the nude model they spend the afternoon painting but we are yet to be convinced otherwise!!
In the evening Cork comes into its own. As Ireland’s second largest city it is big enough to offer all of the cars and clubs that you come to expect on a stag or hen party. However, the very nature of the place and the people create an atmosphere that is uniquely Cork.
Cork’s waterways are a key part of the city and you will find your self crossing plenty of bridges during your stay as the River Lea flows through the city in 2 channels. It is a City which is pretty easy to get around and you will be able to take in most of the sights on foot. You will see St. Finn Barre’s Cathedral, the National Monument and Crawfords Brewery as well as the English markets on a stroll aound the hilly streets of the city. That is if you can keep out of the famous pubs that long.
So jump on a cheap flight and enjoy Ireland.
